HAPPENINGS AT SPOTO
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. With that comes many events happening around the school. Most important begins the formal testing season. FAIR testing, FCAT testing, SAT, ACT, EOC, AP testing and other critical assessments have already begun and run through the end of the year. This can be a very stressful time for our students and we can contribute to their success by continuing to be supportive and by stressing the importance of working hard and doing well on these assessments. Have questions about testing?? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to testing, we are preparing for the Graduation of Spoto High School's class of 2014. The senior Prom has already taken place. Next on this list is Grad Bash and Commencement. This is a very exciting time for our seniors and we hope you will join in the festivities taking place as often as you can.
As the PTSA gets ready to wrap up its year, we are reaching out to you to help us fill the Executive Board positions for next year. Offices available our President, VP of Programs, VP Volunteers, VP Ways and Means, Treasurer and Secretary. Without you, the PTSA will not exist and will not be able to grow. Please visit the GET INVOLVED! link in order to be considered for an officer position.

PTSA SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
As we all know, the beginning of the school year means a shopping trip for school supplies. For some of our Spoto families, it is a very stressful time.
In an effort to support our families in need, the Spoto PTSA is conducting a School Supply Drive beginning August 26th and lasting the whole year. All collected supplies will be kept in the Guidance office and distributed to those students who are in need.
So please, as you are out purchasing your child's school supplies, remember those families who aren't as fortunate. Purchase an extra item or two to contribute. Supplies can be dropped off in Room 231. Following are the items that are most needed:
Pencils, Pens, Loose-Leaf paper, Notebooks, Binders, Composition Notebooks and Calculators.
Thank you in advance for your support!
THE SPOTO PTSA RECYCLES!
In an effort to preserve our environment and to raise money for our organization, the Spoto PTSA recycles used ink cartridges and small electronics (such as cell phones and mp3 players). If you would like to help, please bring your used cartridges and/or small electronics (please place in a box or bag) to our school labeled SPOTO PTSA RECYCLING. We would love for you to include your name and email address so we know who to thank!!!
